Tuesday Shave

I am starting to frustrated I can't finish this soap off but I think it will fall next week. I have already filled in the doughnut of death twice.

Razor: Riga Razor 6/8 half hollow
Strop: SRD
Brush: Thäter
Pre: Nivea
Soap: Crowne and Crane Tallow
AS: Fine AS, L’Occitane ASB
Scent: Chanel Egoïst

 

I have not seen the first "off" button on this thread. Thanks and I will add some Stirling next year. Will ya take $20.00 for the Karve?

Thank you. It’s a work in progress. I’m still trying to get the dying of the mop to the right colors to replace the missing and broken pieces. What I had read made it sound way easier than what it is. It has to soak for quite some time before being able to adjust the dye mix. One of these months or years I’ll have it done.

A party sounds right, good ideal.
Only hope others can feel as nice as I do about this. Some think it's no big deal but this razor dogged me for months.
Before spring, I want to do another focus on straights. But that will take some planning and practice first.

Makes me wonder if I sent some WD40 and some Kroil to Rod & Mandy (Stirling) if they’d do a scent based on that...?

I see CF has an unscented A.S.....that could be a plan, especially where it appears to me that more soaps are produced than aftershaves, by some of these artisans.

Just so you know, Karve is working on a stainless version. Might as well get the brass one soon, otherwise you’ll end up wanting two razors instead of just one!

 

Handyman Essential Blend combines top notes of WD-40, duct tape, and sharpies, with base notes of sweat, beer, coffee, onion rings, and yesterday's chili. It pairs well with Clubman.

 

Probably not a bad idea. 4 oz. of soap and 2 A.S. would be a total of 6.8 oz. Helps even it out.
