Hey, that's pretty great :). I was too young to be a Williams fan....for me it all began with Yaz.

I'm one of those who can't whip up Williams. However, the stores around here that sold it for $1 all went under. I haven't seen it locally for quite a while. But it never worked for me that well so no need to buy it again.

Vintage Williams is something I haven't tried. I watch the bay every now and then and look for a tempting deal.

Wonderful setup, Jeff! That Supply is so shiny. And you used a twin blade with it?!? You are the man!

This weekend is going by entirely too quickly. I've decided to make SV Manna di Sicilia my Sunday shave soap for now. As always, this is subject to change with my mood. The big C-Mon did a fantastic job loading and lathering the SV soap. Three passes and touch ups ended in a drama free BBS shave today. Swati and I are off to visit my Mom for the afternoon. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Sorry to hear you’re having such difficulty with MWF. It’s my daily shave soap, and did take time to master. I hope your Sunday goes better than your shave this morning, Patrick! :(

IIRC Joseph @Primotenore ruined a puck of MWF doing something like that.

Thanks, Bruce! Nice to have you back! I’ve actually tried the A&E, my son Ben, is a fan! It’s ok, but I found it to leave almost a slimy feel post shave. I’ll stick with my MWF.

Chris, I usually strop no more than 20 times on leather, but prior to that do about 10 strokes on a pasted strop with .25 micron DMT Spray. Hey, whatever works for you! This is what works for me. :)

    December 6th
    Razor: Timeless Ti Slim SB
    Blade: Feather NHS (3)
    Brush: Heritage Collection dubl duck
    Pre-shave: PAA Cube
    Soap: WK King of Bourbon
    PAA Galactic Witch Hazel
    PAA Star Jelly
    AS: WK King of Bourbon

    Good morning!

Fantastic shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum.

The Ti Slim is a wonderful addition to the den. With a shallow angle I get a smooth easy shave.

Still struggling with the gelled boar. It works but I have to spend a lot of time loading to get enough lather for my three passes. I'll keep at it and hope it gets better with use.

    Have a great day!

Stropping 60 laps shouldn't take more than 2 min. So if you did 30, then you save only one min. I usually strop my razors the day before I use them so that I get right into the shave.

I would agree with you, Evan. As our friend @clint64 says, I load it like it owes me money! But I think another issue that hasn’t been touched on is time. I both face and bowl lather MWF. As you know I use it every day, and actually enjoy building the lather, which honestly can take me up to two or three minutes before I’m satisfied with the consistency of the lather. I generate a thinner, wetter lather for my mug, so will usually face lather for that part of my shave. And yes, MWF is very messy. I usually have lather wisps on the mirror and walls from my face and bowl lathering efforts. I bowl lather for my noggin shave and actually enjoy the almost meditative feel I get when doing so. My bowl lather probably takes me two to three minutes before I’m satisfied. I like a very thick yogurty lather for my dome. :)

Thanks, Perry! After using stacked DE blades in my Shake Sharps, I pulled out a Twinjector blade. I use them in my Paul Revere L Type as well. They work well for me. :)

I was sent a cake of the vintage Williams from @wchnu and I love it . I like the new formula also though.
