    Thanks Gentlemen.

The watch is by a small artisan watch maker, Melbourne Watch Company, the model is a 'Portsea'. Miyota 9122 automatic movement (the company behind most Citizen watch movements). 316L stainless steel polished case, multi layer ceramic cream color dial. Deep sea blue green hands. Between a pre-order sale and the Australian/US dollar conversion back in early October....it was very reasonably priced.

The background...Noble Otter 'The Night Before'. Ordered this past Friday when it was announced on IG....delivered today. Pretty awesome shipping speed/customer service!

Brilliant, Bill. Loved every minute. Maybe the Feather blade was a bit past its prime? You didn't mention how many shaves were on it. Keep 'em coming.

Great looking shave Andrew! Love that WWB brush handle.

Very cool shave and setup Myles. All 'yous guys' using these red tips.....hmm. Agressive razor....double hmm.

I have read that the linen (assuming un-pasted) is a quasi prep for the leather...warms the steel. I use a CrOx paste on my linen strop which will remove steel, albeit microscopic. Then I transition to my leather strop, which removes any burrs from the edge. Leather is not going to "sharpen", but will "clean up the edge and maintain the edge, to a certain degree, that is already on the razor. Caveat: I am NO expert. I have learned by trial and error, but I now can put an edge on a blade that'll shave my face.

Just finished watching the video. Nicely done, Bill!
I might have to take a few days off from shaving if I did that many clean up passes with any razor that I own (at least on the neck).

I concur. Since I don't have the Arlington aftershave, I usually pair the soap with the 4711.

LEA Classic aftershave is within that same vein and I will probably use it some with the Arlington soap too.

    Thanks.

I did neglect to say, but it was the first use of the feather in the green tool. It would be the only way to get ‘cotton ball’ smooth (if I’d nailed it).

About 5 was the life expectancy for me.

    Thanks.

It is ‘the only tool’ I’ve used that I could get away with that. (yes it’s that mild) Any other I’ve used, and I’d be exactly like yourself.

I only did the cotton ball thing for the fun of it there, but it was the measurement I used trying to learn what the top ‘end result’ felt like for me. I’ve since learned how to get similar with less action using other gear, but my target is, and always was ‘comfort’.

We should strive to learn how to obtain our ‘personal best’ goals with each piece of gear that we choose to use. Cause, who really cares if you can drag a cotton ball cleanly over your face immediately after shaving, or not?
