    Tuesday's Shave

    Mühle R102
    Feather (3)
    Omega 11126 Boar
    Razorock Tuscan Oud Shaving Soap
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Razorock Tuscan Oud Aftershave

Today is my 6th shave with the R102. The first 3 shaves were with a Voskhod blade and the next 3 were with a Feather blade. I really did not see a difference in the results and I only detected a slightly different (sharper) feel on day 1 with the Feather (could have been a placebo effect). I'm not too familiar with Feather DE blades, as I think this is only the third one I've used.
The blade today felt like it was nearing the end of its life cycle. The same was true for the Voskhod on day three. Usually I get four good shaves from a Voskhod.
I'm wondering if this razor somehow allows the blade to dull quicker than other razors. There's a good bit of blade exposure and not really much blade torque with this head design. :signs002:
Are Feather DE blades known for longevity? I know from my own experience that their FHS-10 single edge blades only last two shaves in an AutoStrop razor before they get tuggy.

2 easy passes for this morning's shave provided a comfortable and efficient result with no irritation or mishaps. This Tuscan Oud scent really does have some Alt-Innsbruck DNA to it and I will most likely repurchase the set when I use it up.

I didn't see it get removed in the video. Just teasing, so gem blade attached to a butter knife was it? Nice job !

Edit- So that was you with the spring too. My bad. Good job !! :happy096:

Thanks . I've since removed the goatee but have used some of my "razors" on the whole face . I also have the shingle shaver, bottle opener shaver, door catch shaver and a few more here somewhere. I should look and see if I made any vids using them. I'm not comfortable being in front of the camera.

Now that is a rat-razor if I ever saw one.....clearly beyond redemption.

Maybe you should just send it to me.

I think @Norcalnewb freehanded a Feather DE on May 1.

That was ‘game over man’ for me.

Nice Andrew! In my limited use....noticed that Feather blades (DE or SE) seem to be more finicky with set down errors, usually pressure related, and mostly for the first shave. After that, much the same as any. I’m a 2, maybe 3 use with most blades....the neck really gets uncomfortable if I try and stretch for more.
