I have stated quite a few times (ad nauseum?) that while the cost of the SV puck is high, the amount of shaves it generates is ridiculous. The 5oz triple milled puck will generate more shaves than any 2 artisan soaps, easily. If anyone talks of the ‘cost’ of one of these pucks and instead buys 2 or 3 tubs of something else, then there really isn’t a lot to say besides the ability to have 2 or 3 different scents or products, I suppose.

Around this province, yes, most all houses are wood construction. Some parts of Canada do have lots of brick houses, though. Our historic Main Street in town (and most other town in the area that date from the late 1800s) is all brick as well.

Wet Shaving Products SS & AS - Peppermint
    Shavesmith Kamisori 5/8
    Evan's Green Machine w/Simpson Trafalgar T2

Up today was a new (to me) yearly release from Wet Shaving Products....Peppermint. It is through and through nothing but Peppermint. Even the delivery box, with every product wrapped individually in plastic bags....with the box and the bags taped and wrapped in bubble wrap....you can smell the Peppermint as you hold the package(!). @MrEE's green machine up again for some color.....whipped up an awesome Formula T lather. WSP's tallow based option lathers very quickly, creating a thick slick cushiony goodness to swipe away. This fragrance FILLS the bathroom as you lather & shave. Another shave hatchet seldom used, a Shavesmith Kamisori w/leather wrapped handle. This little guy is somewhat tough to shave with....it's very light, has a square handle, and requires more controlled momentum and pressure than any open edge I own. Which....is odd, cause it's edge is very keen, passes Glen's 'shave test' easily, edge to spine sits flat on my finishing stone. But....this razor shaves very edgy, almost a brittle feel....I can only deduce that it's something to do with the steels 'temperament', or maybe it's an off normal bevel set angle (it does it's best when it's at 3-4 spines widths off the skin surface)...or maybe it's both. More research needed, I'll chat with Glen after the New Year. Regardless, TTT FTW, 3 passes to a DFS+ with zero crimson issues for the shave. Quick warm water wipe/rinse of the face, and a hefty dose of the matching WSP after shave. WOAH.....nostril clearing mint overload, almost like a menthol rush. Wifey comments from another room 2 doors away, she can smell the Peppermint. Yeah....it's wasabi strong! One last note on the Peppermint...it's not a sweet Peppermint, it's got an old fashioned candy, somewhat deep Peppermint vibe.

Hope everyone has a Terrific Thursday and Christmas Eve!

Wow, what a brush, Dave. Are those stones in the resin...or other chunks of resin, etc?
