Dental injection nerve damage

    I had all four wisdom teeth pulled a few years ago and one of them was a particularly stubborn and it ended up causeing some irritation of the nerve on that side and it took about 72 hours for most of the sensation to come back and about 4 weeks for it to totally come back to normal.

    Did you get to talk to your dentist about it yet Sparky? That would be extremely annoying. Hope it gets back to normal quickly.

    Just the receptionist. She seems confident i'll be better "in a few days". I hope she's right, but so far no change.

    I have had lots of dental work and lots of injections, and this has happened to me a few times. It took anywhere from half a day to a few days to wear off, but it eventually did in each instance. Hang in there and best of luck.
