Not sure how much help this would be, but here's how the case could look. This is a top opening, so it's very difficult for small hands on a short person to get to it. The mounts are also on 16" centers, so it's straight into the studs. Three photos. One with light off, one with light on, and one with light on and the door open. Not the best photos - it's dark. Nope, it's not a factory unit, it's hand made. You can see the cable connection at the bottom of the light rope going out the bottom of the case. It's a straight A/C light rope, no DC wall wart. So it's about as dangerous as you can get - No numbers on the LED tape yet.
I'm reworking another case myself. Would you believe I hadn't even thought about using that kind of hooks?
Really pleased with how this turned out. Display swings open completely functionally and balanced and I’m a big fan of the Navy suede and gold finish.
Haha I found another case project that used them. I will say the only issue I have found after everything is in is that my ivory Rodgers doesn’t balance correctly on the hook I’m guessing because it’s much lighter and is shoulder-less. With a bit of messing with it though I have been able to get it to stay in the right place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
