The Fuller Club blades are comparable to most other vintage carbon blades I have used such as Pal, Fan, Don Juan, and Marlin. They are not smooth shaving blades. Let me emphasize that the older carbon blades are an acquired taste. You will probably not like them the first several times that you shave with them. They feel different. Yes they even hurt a little. To minimize this I almost always use an adjustable razor set on 1 or 2.
