    First shave today with this blade. I used my Popular because it’s considered a very mild razor and I wanted a baseline. I’ll probably use my Red Tip for the next shave. I’m relatively new to this game so the only other blade I’ve used in the Popular is a Feather. That was a great shave and it didn’t feel like there was a blade in there at all. The Zaza is not anywhere close to being as sharp as the Feather. I had to take more passes than I’ve normally had to take with anything I’ve used before. I had to do quite a bit of extra buffing as well. I didn’t have any irritation, though. I think of the few blades I’ve tried, this is definitely the least sharp. I’ll try it next time with the Red Tip and see what I think.

    Shaved with the Red Tip today (1956) and it was a much better shave than the one with the Popular. I still think that this blade is in the lower area of sharpness but it was a DFS. I don’t typically try for a BBS because of my crazy beard map. This was a 3-pass shave because I wanted to see how the blade felt throughout. I normally just do WTG and ATG although strictly speaking it’s usually a combination of all three because of the beard growth directions. It did take 3 full passes to get me as close as my normal 2 pass. I have a bit more irritation because of it but I don’t think that’s the blade’s fault - it’s just a function of the extra pass. YMMV
