It doesn't, really. A totally different shaving experience—however you'll wind up with s smooth face either way.
Using a slant compared to a regular non-slant DE isn't dramatically different in the feel, although I found the slant to be highly efficient in reducing stubble—often two passes required when three would be the norm for a 'regular' razor.
Fewer passes for me means less potential skin irritation.

No worries Spud, I know what you are talking about. I have to buy things from England because I can afford the postage from there. MOST things from the USA are too damn expensive. Go figure huh?

To any newbies who are thinking of getting into this PIF, but aren't sure because of the "HORROR" stories they have heard about the Slant...Let me assure you as a shaver whose face didn't get along with the 37C. Don't be afraid...Go for it. Either your face will get along with a slant or it won't, as long as you go gentle, take your time and have decent technique you "WILL" be able to shave with a Slant without it becoming a blood bath. You may or maynot like it, but your face will survive it. Again good luck everyone.

 

Well, I have thought about trying a slant. I have tried a SR 4 or 5 times and it wasn't bad.

So count me in, I guess if I win and don't like it, I will PIF!
