**DONE**PIF: Mystery Straight Razor— spooky! WE HAVE A WINNER!!

    SR Tip of the Day: Use very little pressure.
    Exception: use extensive pressure on the open wound until the ambulance arrives.

    The scales I had nearly competed some time ago (unfinished). Figure a good 1-2 hours of applying coats, sanding, reapplying.
    If I had hand-sanded the blade, probably 20 hours or more. ;)
    In lieu of doing that, I applied a thick polish to remove any loose gunk (15-20 minutes) & gave it a good preliminary rubdown. Then it was off to the buffer for some serious fun— 85 grit (10 minutes); 180 grit (5 minutes), 400 (5 minutes), 600 (5 minutes); emery & stainless compounds (5 more minutes). Wipe & buff…done. Pinning (25-30 minutes)—I'm quite slow & methodical with this as I can't use my good hand. You ever try and hammer with your non-dominant hand? It takes practice. :D Final rub-down & buff with the Renaissance wax (10 minutes)— Done. This is spread out over the course of 3-4 days as I have others I am working on concurrently. Honing is my therapy & leisure time so I take my sweet time with it.

    I feel ya, hammer is tough, so is pencil, buttons, shoestrings, fishing rods/reels, shotguns, and toilet paper.
    but you did a great job, sure hope I win it.
