Showed that to the boys and three of them broke down in tears homesick. Nice. Now they won't break a leg for me for three days. I think it was that great Hammond Organ music that really set them off.

You mention a Hammond organ. Makes me wonder if that was the kind used at the Checkerdome for Blues games in the 70's and 80's(remember my craziness for that thing??). I think it's used at Anaheim Stadium for Angels games.

 

Most likely yess. Hammonds were a workhouse and still are in places. They have that very unique sound if you know what you're listening for. I was a pianist and organist in High School and college. I learned on a Hammond before moving to the pipe organ.

Well, the weirdest thing I could come up with regarding the word spring is a kid who seems to be part spring (the item, not the season ).... and instead of talking, he makes the sound of a spring "boing, boing" Some of you not-so-young guys like me know where I'm going... it's Gerald McBoing-Boing:

Good stuff. I'd never seen this before. Not only is it Dr. Seuss, it's great old animation AND it features a near shaving disaster around the 4 minute mark!

STL's favorite Russian!! Blues fever is at an all time high here. Closer to raising the cup everyday.....and when you have a great hockey team.....LA can keep their sorry Lambs.

I hope my man Troy Brouwer contributes. The Brouwer-Oshie trade was good for both teams I think(I'm a Caps fan, as you know).

 

I agree with you. Oshie was a local hero but both teams are improved from that trade. We need Brouwer and everyone else to contribute too. This team is hot, but still has that uneasy air around it. It's like you're just waiting for the disaster to strike. They're showing great heart and effort though and seem to be really pumped up to win the whole thing.
