Today's Shave Fairy special delivery came courtesy of Italian Barber. I placed the order, online, late Wednesday night, and it arrived today, Friday afternoon.

The Shaving Fairy Has Been Very Good To Me!

The Shaving Fairy arrived at my house last Friday and again today. Friday, USPS brought a near mint eBay Gillette slim adjustable and today brought a NOS eBay 5/8 Prima Klang with Violet wood scales that I won for about 51% of the current retail value.

I have two more packages on the way; a 6/8 Hart Steel basic razor with the satin finish and black scales and from eBay, a mint 13/16 J. A. Henckels 72 1/2 Zwillingswerk Inox with beautiful red, blue, and gold etching on the blade. I got the Henckels for a quarter of the price currently listed at one of the traditional stores selling some vintage razors. I can hardly believe my eBay luck. However, to put it in perspective, I only won four bids out of twenty-five items I was bidding on during the last month. I generally set my top price and then walk away. Among my eBay razor losses, that went to other more deserving homes, were a whole bunch of Filarmonicas, a couple of Heljestrands, two Solingen Les Croix, a Clauss USMC, and one Le Grelot. The Shaving Fairy rewarded me for my losses by giving me the Henckels 72 1/2, a razor I had coveted after seeing one on the Classic Shaving site.

I am camping out at the mailbox because I leave town on Wednesday for four days. Fortunately, my wife supports my RAD, so I know she will protect them 'till I return.

I just received a razor and blades yesterday and am eagerly anticipating a delivery at the end of the week. Although that delivery has not been shipped yet and I am getting just a bit hacked off that even though they have been paid, they are taking their sweet time shipping this off. One more day and I'm going to use my angry fingers to fire off a e-mail to them! Don't make me wait too long!
