My 12 year old EJ DE87 razor had developed a hairline crack in the faux ivory handle some years ago. It had remained stable, but recently while on a trip I noticed the crack spreading and it looks like mold has found a home. I'm in full beard mode currently and like a less aggressive razor for neck and cheek trims. I haven't used the DE87 regularly since obtaining a Fatip Grande. I still like the razor and am hoping I can purchase just the handle. Anyone know of a source? I do have other handles that I can use if originals are not available.

Im not sure about buying the exact handle, but you can look at ali express and there are EJ style handles on the in different colors for cheap. Also there are lots of people who swap handles out so maybe post a WTB ad on the forums.

Or send an email to Edwin Jagger. It's a long shot, but maybe they are one of those companies that stand behind their product.

    It doesn't hurt to try.

FYI, I've sent two emails over the past couple weeks re an issue I have with my DE89 and they have gone unanswered.

But those are counterfeit. I'm not big on counterfeit. It's more the point that Jagger doesn't seem to respond to customer service emails.

I personally would dribble a few drops of Clorox in the crack then after a few minutes blow it out using canned air. When it's thoroughly dry (maybe using a hair dryer) then put in a couple drops of super glue and clamp or pinch the crack together till dry and clean up when done.

    :)

Of course McGrande is the one who needs the handle so he may not have a problem with it being an aftermarket handle....

I agree with cleaning it and then trying the CA glue and baking soda trick.. That Will seal it right up....
