I bought this handle on AliExpress with the hopes of being able to use an Elite Razors Manchurian White knot in it. The problem is the knot has a large glue bump and won't fit into the matching 26mm socket, it needs a 28mm socket. I also wanted the socket to be a little deeper so using the rotary tool was out. Instead I filled the existing socket with Durham's water putty and used a 28mm forstner bit to both expand the socket and drill it deeper into the handle.

After drilling I set the knot with silicone. I will take pictures of the finished brush tonight and post them so you can see the finished product.

I don't see it being called that anywhere in the description. But I would call it a sunburst pattern. It's from DS Cosmetics and has a yellow swirl texture.

Would that product also be good for weighting a handle?

Coins. Use the newest ones in circulation for that mini time capsule surprise when the knot gets changed years from now.

Durham's water putty isn't really that dense and wouldn't as much weight. Coins or BBs work well. You could use the putty to seal the top of whatever you use to weight the handle though and it's much cheaper then epoxy.

I like that idea. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have an Ever-ready handle where I kind of screwed up the knot removal.

It's similar to the one pictured, but all black. The outside isn't bad, but the hole is uneven in depth and out of round. Your waterputty idea might give me a second shot at it.
