My local Walmart sells Stetson, and my local mall has a knife shop that sells Dovo straights

Perhaps in Austin you have antique shops that will get you the hardware you need. Washington DC, your nation's capital, has several antique shops but none that carry shave hardware. "There is just no profit in it" they say. I was in West Virginia town that tends to do a brisk business in antiques where I found a single edge, a bit over priced so I left it right where it was. I can get the same thing on-line for half the cost. The dominant blade in the nation's capital is the Mach 3.

It doesn't. It has to be a side business to make a living at it probably and when they go out, the formulas go with them unless they sell or give them away. Someone else will step up.

Me, I have enough products to last me for a decade or two.
