Portion of the top caps. Very pleased with the result. I'll be posting more photos as I open the 800 individually wrapped parts.
We spent a little time while dinner cooked to unwrap more parts and start assembling. Snapped a few cell phone shots. In the last photo you see the first razor off the "assembly line". Note that my fingers are black because black oxide leaves a residue that must be removed. So each part gets buffed with a microfiber cloth to remove the residue so your fingers don't look like mine.
I should add that I'm not promising that every razor will ship on Monday. Orders will ship in the order they were received starting with the first Kickstarter backer and finishing with the most recent pre-order. We're working hard to get every order out the door on Monday, but if we roll over into Tuesday then so be it.
Everybody will be getting their tracking number. Backers will get it via Kickstarter message and pre-orderers via email.
Let me just say that you've done an impressive job with these, especially considering this is a 'mom and pop' operation.
Thank you! Yes it's very much an amateur operation and I'm learning as I go. I'll begin to shift towards a more professional outfit in the next year as I get better and sales come in, but it will always have a personal touch.
I'd be interested in seeing a group picture of all the box sets, Shane. 'A thing of beauty' and all that. Edit: ...Has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that mine would be amoung them. *cough*
Took a couple box photos. It didn't make any sense to photograph them all so instead I took a quick shot of a representative group. Note that boxed razors will be wrapped before being put in the boxes to prevent them from bouncing around in transit. So they won't look like this when you open it up the first time.
