A few days, so you say. You've got the matching pieces. Could be a few weeks or months. You don't know.
Try to ease up. Every step of the way, Shane has worded things as "Best Case", "Tentative" etc... He is short a few handles. That's the easy part. You aren't going to wait months for these. I know it sucks to be on the side that isn't getting first shipment, but when you get in on the ground floor of something like this, there is bound to be a hiccup or two. It isn't anyone's fault, per se.
Much rather be a few days to week or so behind than not make it during the first round of production that sells out and then having to possibly wait for the next run. Just sayin'. Good thing I wanted a "short, black spy plane."
Stuff happens. I'm sure Shane is just as frustrated as you are. A few days is nothing. It could have been much worse. This is coming from someone who has been waiting 14 months for a Rockwell!!!!
I know the word "delay" can conjur up all the crazy setbacks we've seen in the wet shaving world lately, but this isn't that kind of delay. In this case it can't be weeks or months. They are already machined and are receiving a treatment that only takes a day from a company two hours away from me. The only reason that it might overlap into next week is because they take off Thursday and Friday for New Years, otherwise I would guarantee this week. Hopefully the passivation can be done today and I can get these out this week.
What in the world happened to @Boojum1? Is this scrooge hacking his account? Shane was very transparent about that 30-50 pieces will be less than a week delayed. What's the issue here?
You ever have those days when you set the alarm for 10:00 am because you work second shift, but wake up at 8:30 because the mailman is coming and you can't sleep. Mailman (actually a mail lady on Wednesdays) comes around 10-10:30 am.
Haha that sensor won't freak anyone out . Mine should be out for delivery but they pass by around 2:30 PST
It's a motion sensor. It will go off when the mailbox door is opened. Luckily, I don't need such a device, as my furry doorbell lets me know when the postman drops off a package on my porch. As just happened a moment ago.
Almost. The only disappointment was a divot taken out of one of the 'fins' on the long handle. ...Down near where it flares out. Looks like it was smacked by a piece of flat stock steel. I'm kind of surprised that made it past the QC process. Pity. Oh well, off to shave with it. My shave report will have to be brief, as I have to get ready for work.
