My Blackbird arrived today and it makes me want to shave right now! I'm going to have to wait until morning.. The blade I chose is a Polsilver SI. I'll post my thoughts tomorrow evening. Cheers!

 

My 2nd shave had every intention of being stellar.
And here's a quick update on my experience. I have been using DE & SE razors for years now. I've used new, vintage, unique, and funky razors. Some work better than others. And I've tried some new designs like the Cobra, Mongoose, and Blackbird. No doubt in many ways I'm still learning the best way each razor and blade works, but I am not a rank neophyte either. The edge and corners of the Blackbird interfered drastically with my shave. I'm glad others are enjoying it. And to be ultimately fair to the maker of the Blackbird, when I told him about my bad experience, he offered to buy the wooden case (which I did purchase) and razor back for what I paid for them. That's customer service from an upstanding guy. I'm shipping the gear back to his place in Columbus, Ohio today.
