Yep, it was easy pickins, but trying to find truly creepy non-doll stuff, like monkey-faced giraffes, is not as simple. Some come close.....just difficult to surpass the prior creepy.
Ones that aren't under the "creepy monkey" search tag are.......gotta keep you all guessing. I got that one saved, btw
looks like a cross between a Mogwai and a Predator.... "It's one ugly mothersmurfer...that you don't get wet or feed after midnight..."
OK, bit late to the table here, but I only got around to uploading an avatar yesterday. Mine is my name, spelled out in shaving gear....
I just got around to choosing an avatar too. It's my old dog Blue. A blue brindle Cane Corso, now deceased. Some dogs are better than most people, he was that sort of dog. A very gentle giant. Damn, I miss that dog! When our AmStaff "Shadow" matures I'll probably replace Blues pic with his.
Cool breed. I'm really thinking hard of getting a Dogo Argentino for our next dog. We have 2 right now and one of them is dumber than hell but very loving, a Kerry Blue Terrier she is. Our other is a mutt that looks mostly like a Dogo Arg but if so, there is most certainly a rat in the woodpile, amazing animal he is. He isn't as large or mesocephalic as aDogo Arg should be; I'm not a big stickler for breed standard though as I have no plans on ever showing a dog, just befriending one. The Dogo Arg's are around 90 to 110 lbs and are similar in build (but quite larger) and disposition of an AmStaff. Not my mutt, but a Dogo; some stock photo. They are quite big. Very similar to the Cane Corso.
I love big dogs! But we're both getting too old for the giant breeds, so we're downsizing a bit. Blue weighed 145 and was leggy, not a typical Cane Corso, he didn't meet the standard either, but he wasn't going to be bred or shown, he was just our companion. I'd have another Cane in a heartbeat if we weren't getting older. They can be a handful. I never heard of a Dogo Argentino before. From the description it sounds like it could almost be a Cane. Yeah, for us the Dogo would be a handful. Too much like a Canes requirements.
Yeah, by the time our Kerry Blue croaks and we get a Dogo, It'll probably be the last big dog we ever have. I figure I'll be about 40 by the time we get one unless she goes prematurely, leaving me around 50 when the Dogo is old and on the way out. After 50ish I don't want to mess around with a huge dog, time for a Jack Russel or something. Maybe a Scotty? I'll have to see.
That's good thinking IMO. When we got Blue I was 54 and after a few years I questioned my sanity, but he did keep me active. In our search for a large dog w/o cancer problems I actually considered a Tosa Ken. I'm REALLY glad we didn't get one. A 250 # dog would have far too much. But a large smart dog is a real joy to be around. Bob, I don't write this for you, but the info in the link, and it's said repeatedly, about the pack and being pack leader is good info for anyone contemplating a dog strong of build and of mind. One cannot be second in the pack- ever. http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/tosa.htm
