Does anyone own one of these? http://www.classicshaving.com/catalog/item/522941/906442.htm

I want to know about quality and durability.

I want a good gift for a few of my guy friends. Would these be nice starter razors?

Is there a better choice? I know there are better razors, but to balance price and quality, what would you recommend?

I liked it, ended up giving mine to a new shaver as I thought it would make an easier adjustment to DE shaving than most others.

Some people don't like the fact that the handle and blade holder is plastic....although the silo doors are metal. I enjoyed the different feel of it and the balance.

    Build quality was excellent.

  3. I like this razor, always in my rotation.

Just some added thought.. I like the razor.. Good feel.. Great balance.. But it is a very mild razor - super for a newbie.. Good price as well for you US boys.. (for me as well as I got mine from Rene :D)

    Go for it!!

It turns out that this razor is also known as the Treet Starline.

(And the Wilkinson Classic plastic 3-piece razor is also the Treet Platinum).

  7. The Treet is very similar to the Popular but not the same unless it's made in Japan.

They are not the same, I had them both.

The Wilkinson Classic vs. Treet Delrin however, Is a match.

How does the quality of the Feather compare with the Treet?

Overall, the Feather "popular" was of a higher quality than the Treet Starline.....but.....the Treet Starline has an all-metal head.

Yes, I can see the all-metal head on the Treet, now that you mention it. The Feather has a plastic "floor" where the blade sits.

I would go for the Starline since it have a all metal head.
