If I ever had $300 to spend on a razor, I'm sorry to say the Feather would be nowhere on the screen. I'd probably go with this one:

For what it is, the Feather seems horribly overpriced. I think I paid $40 for my 1908 Single Ring Old Style Gillette, a far superior razor with historical cool points to boot. I am however digging the stand. Feather should sell them separately for $10 or so. I'd be willing to bet that the stands would move far faster than the $300 razors

Perhaps I would not like to pay 300$ for a razor, though the feather is going for 150$ on some other forum.

I have seen gents indulge in fairly expensive badgers even though there ARE cheaper varieties around. Why should a 150-300$ razor raise eyebrows ?

I know, I know the Vintage Gillettes abound are robust, grand, cheap, perhaps cheaper than cheap etc.

I want to add this perspective to the debate and listen to views.
