The Musco Real is one of, if not the, favorite AS I have. The cream is also very good. It is just a great scent.

 

Day 7 - Schick repeater focus

Schick type B2 razor
Chick blade

I made the switch to my type B2 today as 6 shaves was all I could get out of the Chick blade in the Schick type A I had been using all week. My Feb focus is to use a razor until the blade dulls and then switch to a different Repeater in the collection.
Todays shave was pretty good. 2 passes and a little touch on the jaw line and im ready for the Superbowl with a decent DFS. The type B repeating razor takes a bit to get used to because of the angle it needs to be held at. Once I found that, it was smooth sailing.

Going to dust off the 34c for tonight's shave since I've got toothache and can't really focus. I imagine there will be some sore heads tomorrow with the Super Bowl. This will be the first time in about 5 years me and my mates won't have made an effort to watch. Although it's on till 3am here and we don't understand the rules, we always enjoyed and appreciated such a large scale sporting event, enjoy guys

 

Hope your feeling better. Some alcohol may help that tooth ache.

 

Thanks Douglas. I've been staring at a bottle of brandy all day, unfortunately I have a big days work tomorrow starting with an even bigger drive.

 

You may be wise to stay away from the brandy then. There is always tomorrow.

Mongoose Focus
I'm having a little trouble figuring this razor out. I can't seem to clean up my neck without irritation. I don't know if it's angle or pressure. I'm glad I am going this focus and will figure it out. Any Mongoose pointers?

It's in the oven right now Turkey sandwich for me, the leg for me oldest son. Youngest will eat whatever he can get 16 lb bird. Mac & Cheese and a ton of other goodies.

I'm loving my Sunday shaves...great products, relaxing day and an opportunity to really take time and focus on the shave. It's nice to have these moments to remind me of my first impressions back when I decided to take on this type of shaving.

It's a great idea. We are doing pork tacos and all that jazz buffet style. Just me, Mrs. Samurai, our son and some of his friends.

 

Quick Shave Report for shave 38:

Two passes on a test with the Aust. It was a little tricky, had to dial in the lather, but once it got right I was able to easily chase the baby for a near bbs. The Alum verified that I had a good day, face feels good two hours later. The Aust is holding its edge perfectly, and the strop is feeling natural now. I am gonna declare today a success!
