Indeed! If you can master an injector (hint: you can!), you can shave with anything. What DE are you starting with?

It is an Atomic razor but I also have a Flare Tip Superspeed coming thanks to the generosity of Gmaugie007 and mrchick that I will be trying as soon as possible. I may just have to go from shaving every other day to daily now that it is enjoyable.

It was slim pickings today in Colorado Springs. All I managed to find is an old blade sharpener that I thought was cool.

Today's razor is a Portland Razor Co Damascus 7/8 in horn scales. It is on its second shave with the 'factory edge'.

Just likes it's maiden shave very smooth and sharp. It gives me a good reference point to the edges I maintain. Four passes and no blood, no irritation and BBS.

I suggest two passes, one WTG one XTG, everyday, whether you think you should or not. Light pressure. Low blade angle. All razors are the same.

I've yet to see anyone report a bad shave with the BB, a great thing :) I've added menthol crystals in the past but found it wasn't for me. I do really enjoy using the scented Thayers WH a lot! I thought Cucumber was awesome and it is, but Rose Petal is fantastic. I'll go with Lemon when this bottle is done.

This morning's shave was pretty simple. A nice, easy one pass plus clean up on the jaw line with DFS results. I had not used Cella or Barbasol Brisk in a while, and they both performed well. I am fully ready to start my Thursday. Have a great day.

Overall a very good shave this morning. Starting with the Jabonman soap that is so easy to lather and has a fantastic scent. Going with a 2 pass shave, ATG followed by XTG. After some minor touch ups I ended with a near BBS. Finished up with a cooling splash of F&C Shambala for a great start to the morning. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

    Focus day 25
Day 9 of open comb use and comparison

    Prep: Warm shower
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (4)
Razor: Maggard MR1 with V2 open comb
    Brush: Trader Joe's synthetic
Lather: TSD unscented shave soap stick
Post: Witch hazel splash enhanced with drug store 'New Spice', Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Another nice and easy CCS this morning. My lather was much better than the past two days. The lather was drying up on my neck and chin but today it was much better. I used a more wet brush and pushed down a little more and went more deliberate with the first face lathering strokes. That helped spread the moisture around more evenly. I'll say again that the TSD soap is really a great product.

I've also been experimenting with adding some Old Spice knock-off to the witch hazel splash for a little more zing and a little scent. That has been working well.

The open comb razor continues to be a great choice. I like it a lot, and it's even better with a Silver Blue blade.

I'll change up products tomorrow - Wool Fat Friday for me!

I hope you have a great Thursday!

I've found that with a synthetic brushes and shave sticks I have to add water as I lather. Synthetic brushes don't hold water the same as badger or boar brushes. It took me a while to get the hang of them.

Weathermen and progress bars, they are just a helpful guide, don't expect them to be accurate.. ;)
