Have you come across a 1909?

I wish. Finding a OC Dammeskeene is childs play compared to the 1909. Last person I saw pick one up was @twhite .

I count myself the luckiest man in the world on that one. I will never come across one again.

I found 2 OC Dammy’s at crazy cheap prices. PIF’d one to a friend. No need to hoard the rare stuff. Spread the love I say.

:)...That's popular advice around here! I try to, but a lot spills over the edge. That's how high Lee packs his soaps. I hope can meet the problem halfway, until the suds appear which would presumable cut down the spillage, right?

Let it spill over! You should see the mess I make.

I don't exactly follow this method, but I will slop stuff everywhere like this guy does.

That is one SE I have on my wish list. That and the Streamline.

They both are fantastic shavers. Well worth having. The OC is actually a less aggressive razor than the regular Dammy. The Streamline is just plain wicked. Mine is the old version. Not sure if the save different.

Load the soap with a bit dryer brush and face lather. No muss no fuss.

    SharptoothC I bite..........

For a fave month, I had to start out with my favorite scented soap:

    Route 66 Bourbon Jungle
    Maggard Plissoft
    GEM MMOC
    Stirling Clubman AS

Took my time and got a nice finish without much burn.

Just kidding. You probably don't have the latest video drivers loaded. Might be time for an update.

I hear you clucking, Big Chicken. I have a hard time getting too excited about razors, but brushes are a whole world full of different. I don’t have any two alike, and am not running out of options for new ones.

Probably will have to. It's weird, I can get SOME pictures-especially the SOTD photos from everyone. And, of course, the PENGUIN shots!!

Just for reference, even as recently as four or five years ago, many of the best known brushmakers would recommend TGN knots as a top tier choice for a build. I think that with the emergence of so many new knots and makers, (and chem treating) they have possibly dropped a tier in popularity, but even as recently as a year-ish ago, Doug Korn told me I wouldn’t go wrong with one.

I have several of them, and am very happy with every one. Most surprisingly, I am quite satisfied with the Grade A Silvertip I just set. It very much defies the “you get what you pay for” rule of three bands. I am happy enough with that one, that my next knot is going to ba a Best, because I really like scrubby three bands.
