    Before we get to today's shave, let's revisit the Myrsol situation, shall we?
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Not ready to give up on this soap, so I decided to attempt to sieve out the granules. Using a fairly fine strainer, I took about a tablespoon at a time of the soap and pressed it through with my fingers. I then scraped the sieved soap off of the bottom of the strainer with a butter knife.
    It's difficult to see in the "after" photo, but I was able to get about 90%+ out of the soap.
    Now let's get down to brass tacks.
    Without those excess granules, I was free to focus on the shave.
    The M&F Finest was stellar and pretty-much steals the show. I call this brush:
    "Who needs a Varlet Beehive anyway?" brush. :)
    I am an admitted beehive fan and this is one of the most comfortable beehives I own.
    I won't even get into the knot which is uber-luxurious.
    The Myrsol, sans granules, lathered up very well. Extra slick and even though my wife, who has the day off, made the
    off-handed comment: "That soap smells old" (spoiled), I very much enjoy the scent. Figures.
    Once again, I chose my Sunday-Shaver to use on Monday. :eatdrink013:
    That's me, a real "rabble-rouser". I was the guy who wore the "Question Authority" T-shirt in 1969.
    (Even though I had zero clue what it meant) :happy097:
    I got a great deal on this razor. Caught it on sale and not sorry that I purchased it at all.
    I am considering treating the Yew wood with some linseed oil. Not sure yet.
    The wood mos def needs some protection against moisture.
    BBS from just below the jaw-line and up. DFS everywhere else.
    I think that I am plateauing about now, vis-a-vis BBS on the neck.
    Excellent post-shave feel with the Myrsol.
    The matching AS is (according to me) a nice scent. No burn.
    Glen's finished with my Dubl Duck Goldedge. I am excited to get that baby into the line-up.
    Beautiful shave Joseph! That seems like quite the process to clean up the soap, did you end up losing much product ?
    Most def an epic shave, Joseph! You wild man...using a Sunday razor on Monday! You have inspired me to pop a couple of after dinner mints before 5 pm.
    You did us a solid by showing us how to sieve the creepy crawly eggs out of that soap. You should consider sub-contracting your services with Myrsol. ;)
    Have a great day, Joseph!
    Thank you Perry. It seemed a shame to bin a pretty darn good soap. I posted a thread on two other Fora. One shaver absolutely hated the Myrsol soap. His was grainy as well, but he despised the scent too. Turns out he was talking about the Don Miguel 1919, which is a polarizing, jasmine scent.
