Another great looking brush Robert. Zenith really makes some very nice brushes.

 

That used to happen to me when I bloomed it. Sounds like too much water. I start out with a loaded brush and drizzle in a little water if it’s too thick a lather.

It looks like less is more with Mitchell's. I did a test lather with a dry brush, dry puck with about a teaspoon of water on it. Loaded for 10 seconds only. Lathered, added water, lathered, added water, and on and on until I got a bowl full of this:

It's been sitting on my desk for 20 minutes and hasn't really disappeared. Rubbed some between my hands and it was pretty slick and made my hands feel like I had just put some lotion on.

Feb. 26th. Fatboy 30DC

Budget Setup:

Razor: Fatboy
Soap: Proraso White
Blade: Feather
Brush: Perfecto Pure Badger
Post Shave: Witch Hazel and Equate lotion

What a difference a month makes. Today's shave was a comfortable 2 pass DFS. However, I got bit along the jawline once because I was paying attention to something else. Guess that's the penalty for shaving while distracted.

Using the same setup for a month has proven to be a test in patience. One shave left for me in this challenge. Not a true 30DC, but I can't wait to break into some Stirling samples I ordered at the beginning of the month. It will be my first time using Stirling soaps.

Your in for a treat with the Stirling soap. Keep giving it water until it has a high gloss sheen! Congrats on completing your first rule!
