I usually get light feedback from the alum after my three pass shave. On occasion when everything just comes together the alum is like running a smooth piece of glass over my face, zero feedback. Other times I will get isolated hot spots, usually along my jawline or in the hollows of my neck.

This tub is higher in the center and tapers down as it goes out. May move to a bowl soon. Already getting little chunks breaking off and showing up when face lathering.....

Yeesh, you wouldn't even know it snowed there a few days ago, Clint. Absolutely beautiful greens. I feel the same way about that razor- keep your concentration and it will be drama free. It always feels like it can bite at a second's notice, but won't if you mind your p's and q's.

 

You travel in style, Jeff. I knew you took a week's worth of straights, but how many safety razors did you pack as well? What do you think of that Kent synthetic? I heard someone comment that it reminded them of a smaller Simpson Trafalgar.

 

Interesting that you traded a hard soap for a croap, Joseph. You must have really wanted to try that brand, as I know you are emphasizing keeping hard, 3x milled pucks.
Great review, regardless. I know what you mean about that 'standard' Boellis/Cella Italian Almond/Cherry scent. I'm a 'meh with it.

We’ll probably be here until Sunday! One of the positives of being here is that since they are rural with low population density, they have extra vaccine. I just learned that they can accommodate Lauren and me at 2:30 CST today. Lauren and I are both 1A -former cancer survivor (both), and the old fart criterion (me). There are about 180,000 ahead of us back home in Philly. We’ll be returning for our second shots in March.
