Joe, the R102 on the Rockwell handle looks great.

I've had two shaves so far with my R41 on the SS Mongoose Big Bomber handle. I purchased the head only, so all my shaves with it are Frankenrazor shaves. The shaves have been super close and mostly comfortable, but a moment of inattention will result in a tiny weeper (experienced some on both shaves so far), and the Feather will definitely get changed out after three shaves. My short term goal before putting this Buttercup away will be to get error-free shaves (I despise weepers, even small ones that close up during the post-shave) using the heavy handle and a Feather blade.

I wish you was in the lower 48. I would send my Karve set up and let you use it for a while. I have the B sb, C sb, D oc and E sb. 3.25 inch handle.

 

Thanks Charlie! I am sure there are those shavers out there that may be able to get 5 Feather shaves, but I would think they are a rare breed. I usually need 3 passes and touchups for my headshaves. Tonight, I got 2 passes and some minor touchups and that never happens. That's a witness to the aggressiveness of the R102 and a Feather with 3 shaves on it.
