I hear you! I have been shaving with my brand new Muhle R102 (R42 head with a different handle) this week using a Feather blade. Last night, I decided to do a headshave with my face shave. Mind you I already had 2 shaves on this blade prior to this one. I got a few weeps and mild irritation on my head. Considering that the blade wasn't fresh and my first headshave with this aggressive razor; it wasn't a bad start. I bring it up because as experienced shavers we know when to expect mishaps based on previous shaves. Have a great day Terry!

I learned to stop at 3 with Feather blades as my 4th shave was a head shave. You have a Kevlar beard so I can understand why you bin it after one shave.

You too Terry! By the way, I ordered a 13/8 straight razor which will make my 10/8 Max Sprecher (Mad Max) look very small.

New sheriff in town huh? DEs that rinse clean effortlessly are the best! Shaving item mail delivery? Miss those....box openings aroma, mmm. Lately it's just smells of truck parts or chemicals :angry032:

Cool having those Dave, great combo for the morning. The 1508.5 should be done soon!

Super nice Clint! Love the contrasts, and such a cool handle for the M102.

Cool (swidt) setup and shave Danny! Sorry for sending that cold snap east. We aren't out of it yet here in TX. Forecast for DFW doesn't get above freezing until a week from now. Snow in our forecast! Ugh!

Another fun travel shave Jeff! Yeah...14 hour drive....even with device distractions, not something I would look forward to either.

Terry! Awesome Bay Rum Friday goodness. Ouch on the ear issue...don't do that!

Nice cool everything Jason! Ditto on the Floid Blue, had a sample, pulled before I knew enough to order. Plumbing work....ugh. Our kitchen sink setup was the worst, like built on a Friday before a holiday weekend. Gave up at 10 years, ended up replacing everything (it's just plumbing right?!? :angry032: ). Hope the rest of the day and coming weekend is less stressful!

Zingari Man SS, ASB & RS - The Soloist
Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Switchback 400 w/Omega EVO
    Drew Dick 7/8 Damascus

Wonderful bowl overflowing uber lather, only SS & H2O (see below) this morning. Don't know that I've used a synthetic with the ZM sego shave soap base yet....was pleasantly surprised by it's abundance and loft. Much better than any ZM lather I've done with a natural bristle option. Super slick, slightly wetter (for straight razor shaving), and a wonderful face feel from today's lather. 2.5 passes with the Drew Dick straight, some super color work with the horn inlaid scales. 1 unfortunate nick on the edge of my lip, a near perfect shave otherwise. Very fun razor to use and look at, but shaves a little edgy/harsh. It'd probably be considered somewhere between a quarter and half hollow grind, but feels well tempered (hard) which I believe leads to the edgy quality. Couple squirts of ZM's after shave balm followed by the matching Recovery Splash (witch hazel based splash) and ready for a Friday.

The Soloist by Heather at Zingari Man....a collaboration with West Coast Shaving. The fragrance is subdued, but nothing short of incredible. The blend of Pink Pepper to a boozy spiced Rum with a slightly floral Tobacco note is exceptional to this nose. Applied in abundance so I'll catch subtle whiffs at least til early afternoon. It's aroma is completely in coherence with the colorful 'small jazz venue' themed labeling it suggests. Wifey super approved :love055:, even while being at the complete opposite end of the usual 'bright citrusy aquatic' fragrances in abundance, vintage or modern.
