This cream was my easiest target. I will still use MWF on Friday and other soaps when I get bored. However the goal is to get this one gone this month.

Nice setup and goal Clint. I may join you guys and step the 1508.5 up to a focus on killing the SOCP with just intermittent diversions when feeling a need. I like how you describes your approach.

 

Can you imagine a stranger trying to decipher this???? Heck, I can barely come to grips with it.

All this stuff has been in the den for awhile. The PdP was one of my earliest soap purchases and all the copper got a freshen up with a cape cod cloth wipe down.

Feb 1 SOTD

Good morning guys! It is snowing on Long Island and I am home in my warm, cozy place. Schools are closed.

Today is the first shave of the month and I am starting a mini-focus with Joe C, Danny and Charlie. I will be using this exact setup through this Sunday. It means that I will be using the same picture. Lol! Anyway, let me get on with my post.

I have been using hot water for my shaves and I have noticed that my stubble really is much easier to shave. Today was no exception. I wetted my face with the brush and then applied the Tabac shave stick. A little does go along way. The soa really exploded into a beautiful lather and the smell was heavenly, despite what @jgreenepa the nasal barbarian from Philly thinks. TBH, I could have been done after the first pass, but I trudged forward for a second one. I got a nice, near BBS shave without any blood or irritation making a visit. Applied the witch hazel, the balm and finally the wonderful stank of Pinaud Clubman Classic aftershave. Yes, Tabac and Clubman make a great comb despite what some of my fellow 30 DC members may think while rolling their eyes in absolute disbelief. Let's start out this month with fantastic shaves! Great start to the month Joe. While clubman's not a regular one I go to like I did in the early days it still has a place in My Den. Enjoy your day inside we just had a dusting and I think heading at a high of 31° today but I must go do some window cleaning in a floor job tonight before I can call it a day.

I’m in for February, of course. I usually like to do a bit of Favourites February, but a lot of the razor play will involve my new razor which is scheduled to arrive today. For software, I’ll still use the Reserve Cool every 2nd day until it is done, but I’m going to pick 4 nice combos that for whatever reason haven’t seen a lot of usage lately. This Platinum combo, Colonia, the Jeeves BoS and Baker Street, methinks.
Pulled the Occam’s for no other reason than it is awesome. The full scalloped plate is my fave, but all are good. Whipped up an exceptional lather and had 3 easy passes. Didn’t know what blade was in there until I was finished, which was different for me. Almost completely smooth and not complaining about the difference. Not smelling too badly, either.

Thanks Dave! The Clubman does go well with the Tabac. It looks as though I may not have enough at the end of this one week focus. I am not worried because I have Old Spice in the bullpen.
