Thank you Dave. I changed out the top Nodachi top plate with the Masamune top plate, to see if it smooths the razor out.

Then Nodachi handle would not work with my Yates head. The threads are different. The Nodachi handle just drops straight down on the Yates head. The diameter of the Nodachi handle is larger.

 

Very nice shave Clint! I think you will really like it so much more by doing your mini focus with it this week.

Thanks Clint. There's a wasted $55 I spent then for a Nodachi Dark handle on the BST.........

 

It shouldn't.

 

I was honestly surprised it didn't work. The top part of the handle is the perfect size to fit in the slot but the diameter of the hole is too large

 

I asked Danlaw about the dimensions of the tip but failed to inquire about the threads..........my bad. Live and learn......I'll have no use for t though as I have no top cap or base plate for that razor. {Dave walks off shaking his head}

Good afternoon guys!

I could've pass on shaving today because I still look fine with 28 hrs growth, but I am going to services this evening and always want to be clean-shaven for it.

This is my fifth and final shave using the R102 for my mini focus. Everything worked well. Using the scuttle to make my lather and keeping my brush warm has been a real treat for me. Using this method, I find the lather really comes out creamy and slick. I picked the Coconut Lime because I wanted to brighten up this cold winter day by pretending it is a nice summer day. The scent is nice, clean, fresh scent.
The Mųhle razor with a Rockwell blade is a great combination for me. In 2 passes with minor touchups, I got a BBS shave without a scratch or any irritation.
I have shaved with many carts and DE's over the years that I needed to shave every day because I couldn't get my shaves close enough for me to look socially acceptable after 24 hrs. Since coming here, my shaves have improved, however, this DE razor is king in my book. I probably could go 36 hrs before I needed to shave. Ok, maybe not 36, more like 30.
Finally, I did my normal post shave routine applying the matching aftershave last. I did get a nice stinging burn on my neck and under the chin, but I can deal with it. Lol! Have an awesome afternoon guys!

Hadn’t shaved since Friday morning and had a very nice 3 pass’er this afternoon. The Karve mowed down the 54 hours worth with zero hesitation. The Polsilver is a very good match for this razor.
Long weekend here in BC , so I’m not sure I’ll shave before work on Tuesday. Might set aside the excellent Karve and give a few other faves a run.
The Mrs and I are just having a nice dinner at home tonight with the kids. Nice and low key. Hope to read through some posts as well.
