FWIW, I did RAKE a snow path to get our generators to the back porch. Even brought out the new 580cfm leaf blower to make my own snow storm. Last 1/3 inch or so was already a solid sheet of ice, which is typical TX, but the gennies rolled over the ice easily enough.

4am 19F, We had 5 minutes of power….we forgot to check & went to sleep with every light switch on.

6:30am Woke up to another 2 inches of powder, refilled the gens with gas.

9:30am CST We now have sustained power (generators cooling down, will get an oil change after 41 hours straight use). Still all kinds of alerts there may be rolling power outages for the next couple days.

Forecast today is overcast, climbing to 31….AWESOME!

    Good morning guys!

    Mr EE Tuxedo Brush
    Mühle Sandalwood SC
    Old Spice P/G AS
    Dickenson's WH ( not pictured )

    Whiskers: 24 hours

I normally don't shave at the 24 hr mark, but I didn't want to wait to shave because I wanted to try out this shave cream. I won it with my Mühle R102 so I thought that I would try it. It is my first shaving cream to lather with a brush so I was very curious to see how it went. I didn't bowl lather. I put a small amount on my face and went at it. It didn't lather too well so I put a little more cream on the brush and a creamy lather was the result. It was not a thick lather but it was slick and thick enough to suit me. The Sandalwood scent was not overpowering, but it did get more noticeable as I lathered. Did 2 passes for an IBSS + without any mishaps. I didn't want to go for the extra half pass because this blade was on its last legs. I could have had 3 more shaves with this blade, but I have made it a point to bin these blades after 5 shaves. I finished with the witchhazel, balm and the Old Spice aftershave. This was a nice shave. Have an awesome day guys!

PS @9nein9 Patrick, I found the Mühle blade that came with the R102. I had placed it in the Mühle shave cream box. 20210217_103540.jpg

Such a poor response by the company. They should realize with all the competitors in the wet shave arena, that finding a way to satisfy the concerns of a customer is paramount to part of a successful business model. I say:

Geez. Glad you have the generator set up. This is just unbelievable. Is part of the problem, the green energy such as wind power, can not function because the hardware is frozen?

    Good morning!

Excellent shave to start the day! Three passes for near BBS. Nearly silent alum.

I've been using my scuttle every morning for some wonderfully warm lather. I've eschewed the use of the electric kettle to boil water for the scuttle. Most soaps don't handle that level of heat very well and it makes making the lather guesswork. What it looks like in the bowl and what I end up with on my face are very different. Not saying that I won't be using my electric kettle in the future because a hot lather is oh so decadent.

    Have a great day!

I'm glad you're seeing a light (without the aid of your generator) at the end of the tunnel! Great news, Blair.

Raking snow...you are The Man! One of my neighbors used his leaf blower to clear the snow powder from his driveway. It worked really well, and he looked uber manly while doing so.

    Again, Blair, great news!

Early morning shave, noon time posting. I have had a busy morning of an X3Bar workout before my shower and shave. Only to be followed up with one of SWMBO’s honey do items; painting the bathroom ceiling. Well the first coat is done.

This shave represents my second use of the Lakewood Soap Green test soap. It is extremely slick, with a nice subtle barbershop scent. The three pass shave left my face smooth and refreshed without any irritation or mishaps. To further test the soap, I did a vine pass on the dome. Jeff and Joe, @jgreenpa and @Trigger, don’t fall out of your seats. This will not become a regular routine. Besides, SWMBO is not a fan. Anyway, the soap provided a nice cushion for a one pass with the injector.

Here are a couple of pictures of the lather.

thank you Joseph:).it feels milder than a basic tech to me.nearly zero audible noise and very smooth.i got this when they first came out.now long discontinued.but the kai blade definitely woke it up though i imagine the mamba .70 and game changers would feel more aggressive.

No it's not replacing the N075 on the shelf. It just took its place for the shave today. I was going to decide if I want to keep the N075 or sell to a friend that may want it.

Great shave and prize from the Cracker Jack box
Great shave jim, and I've always wondered if the heat from a scuttle will affect the lather which I assumed it would depending on how much. Nice thoughts on your shave today!
Great shave and honey do's around the house getting accomplished. Appreciating your thoughts on the Lakewood test soaps. It looks like some pretty good lather!
