I decided to go out to see if I can dig my car out. I was amazed that the plow came by and replowed so that it was easy to get into my car. I only had to kick away the powdery snow from my driver's side tire and was able to free my car. It literally took less then five minutes. Yippee!

I guess you need to change the blades Paul.

I'll try it tomorrow with a new dispy and see if it feels the same. If so, maybe a new bag is in order. But I threw out today's "switchblade". May mean the rest of the blades in my current bag are tougher like today's. I've never dealt with changing a blade on a Gillette DisposeABLE before.

thank you so much Joe.:)having a great time with it so far.glad to be away from the auto industry.constant negative energy there.nobody likes it when their car is broken and frustrated folks usually take it out on the folks trying to fix it..they can all ride the bus..:D:eatdrink047:

Thanks for being gracious about it Gary, but like I said, I corrected the unintentional omission. Also, I was a car salesman many years ago so I know that story all too well. Have a great day!

    good day gents.:)
    feb 1st.new month.
starting it out with a newly found tech, late 50s brit made canadian market model.
    made from all brass/nickel plate.
canada stopped producing razors in 54/5 and made blades only.
england and the u.s exported razors in after that.
brit/euro versions of this razor usually had the aluminum handle .

.smooth 2 passer in the usual manner
    fabulous weight and balance.
feels like all the other post war versions to be honest but fine all the same.
lovely forge lather with their new tallow base, built with the yaqi silvertip, nice soft dense brush.but with some backbone.
capped it off with the matching witch hazel based splash.
    lovely post shave .
the adg profumo isn't an exact match but in the same vein, pairs nicely.

ahh yes..:happy102:did i forget the crap bosses that complained when they missed their sales target.."you worthless mechanic you"..how can we make you more efficient? .what's wrong with you?,Bob can change a transmission in 5 minutes..:D..sorry ,inside voice..and my favorite.."CUSTOMER WAITING"..starting a 3 hour booktime job ,half hour in,they need the car in an hour,is it doable?.memories indeed..;):eatdrink047:.there is a shortage of new folks coming into the trade..i wonder why..and i see a great irony in it..on a serious note..i had a lot of fun times, built some great cars, and met some lifelong friends.:)to the higher ups that made $$ thousands off my back..well they know where they are going..:):eatdrink047:

    Shavette Shave # 327
    Parker SRB Shavette
    Rockwell 1/2 DE Blade (2)
    Semogue OC Super Badger Brush
Stirling Christmas Eve SS and AS
    Maggard's Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 27.5 hrs

    Dome Shave:
Mühle R41 with Rockwell DE Blade (?) and is not pictured.
Same software as my face shave

Keeping with the massive snow still on the ground, I decided to use the Stirling Christmas Eve set. I just love this scent so it is one of my favorite soaps.. My head and face shaves resulted in a BBS on top and near BBS on the rest. Did get a micro dot weep on stache area, but I kept shaving without any worries. It was stopped at the end of shave. Alum provided sting free application on all areas. Witch hazel and the matching juice finished this shave. I would say it was a great start of the month for me. Take care guys.

You could choose to be different, buck the system and forgo paying your Great Uncle. Nice shave despite the bump along the way.
