Congratulations, Eric! Really glad to hear how well the shave went! The DX IMHO is the best of the Feather Barber’s razors. I love mine. After the first shave, I sold my Feather SS. The beauty of the DX is that it shaves very similarly to a traditional straight razor. It also tends to be sharper. Once you’ve mastered it, the transition to a regular straight should be effortless with the exception being the maintenance requirements of traditional straights, which is why many stick with modern barber’s razors.

Congratulations, Barry, on a successful week of injector shaves! My favorite wet shaving tools are SE’s although I do enjoy my DE shaves, just not as much! You may have found your grail razor! I know that you are a thrifty soul, a quality I do admire, but all I’ll say is that you’d be blown away by the modern Supply injector! It provides three plates to customize the shave, and is without doubt one of my preferred injector razors. The V3 is supposedly nick proof, although that’s probably just marketing hype, as good technique makes any safety razor nick proof! Enjoy your green tea, my hard-working friend! Really looking forward to what you think of the Featherweight Gem! Have a great day!

I agree with you, Eric! Both the G and the E are excellent noggin shavers!

Fine shave this morning, moving to Bay Rum (Jeeves soap and Stephan A.S.), with the Clubman brush. The only area that was problematic was the area where I had that bad cut (North Porcupine, just under a nostril). For a second, I thought about just growing a mustache, thus leaving that area alone, but then I said "naaaah, I'll figure something out". Going North-South there should make for a calmer, less painful shave. The Stephan went on with a mild/strong clove scent. I didn't like that, but it's going away now. I love Stephan for its "skin-food" strength-same as what I get with Bill Neumann (which is coming soon, by the way). Well-done, overall. Outta This World Excellent.

Thanks Joe. Everything went well yesterday. Have you fully recovered from shoulder surgery?

The two of them have the same birthday? Well that is a Co-in-SI-dense if my name is Paul (which it is, so it is).

Charlie, that reminds me of when I bought a fake black mustache at a Joke shop in Boston, to perform at my college for a Gong show. A black mustache under blond hair? Somethin's wrong with that mama.

    Good morning!

Today I decided to use one of my favorite soaps and that is Angora's Midnight Lavender. It is such a pleasant scent and a pleasure to lather. This soap is very slick and can take on plenty of water which is fine with me because I like a thin lather.
The shave went well. Two and a half passes gave me a BBS shave without any blood or irritation. The alum gave me a little zinging. Finished with the witch hazel and the matching aftershave. Have a nice day guys!

Lol! I did a dome shave on Tues. Also, if I had a full head of hair, then I would not dye it blonde. It doesn't suit me.

Oh OK Joe. I saw it. Also peeked at Angora Soaps......might give'em a try.

I think it would be perfect for you. It is a beef tallow soap with Shea Butter and glycerin and therefore, it is an easy lather to make. I would say more so than Stirling.
