My hair grows in any directions known... The first pass for me is with the grain.Second pass from ear towards nose and the thirs and last pass is against the grain. After i rinsed my face again i start to clean out the rest to make it BBS. I can´t shave every day otherwise it´ll get finest irritations.My main shaving day is sunday.When i go outside in the theater or cinema or anything else,where i know that i have to look "clean" than i shave this day.But it´s a problem that my hairs grow in eny direction...it´s a real fight!!! But i won all of it!!!
I have decided that I am just going to have to get comfortable shaving from my left ear to my right ear so I can do my first pass WTG. It is awkward but if I do two passes WTG and a pass kind of diagonally (DTG) I get a fantastic shave.

Yeah my neck has always been a problem area for me. When I finally got it sorted out I got cocky and went ATG. The bumps are just about gone. I'm convinced that I one of those guys that just won't ever go ATG. Fine by me. There is a small patch of hair on my right jar line that goes W-E, gets irritated very easily. That's my trouble area right now. And from experience, I now know the hair right under my bottom lip can only take 1 pass of WTG. The hairs there grow out at a severe downward angle and even XTG causes irritation. I just got some MWF. Excited to see if it helps reduce irritation all around.
I normally go WTG on my first pass and the. ATG one my second pass. I don't get an irritation from it but my neck hair grows in an odd directions :/
