I just read this entire thread and didn't see anything I hate. I have yet to try Balut or Durian, but might be willing. I will usually try anything once. The most unusual for me was the heart of a tuna cut out immediately after it was caught. Did this one in Pago Pago..
Cold butter (i dont mind it melted or things made with it like cake) Cheddar Brie These are the only things i've found that i don't like. The cheddar one makes things real awkward, especially when going to burger places and stuff like that.
how bout ludefisk, Swedish fish cured with lye morsea, Spanish blood sausage tripe, guts there's also a fruit famed to stink and out of all the horrid culinary atrocities, you don't like butter and cheese?
Never had ludefisk, id happily try it though. I can't see the blood sausage being a problem. Living in England, i usually have black pudding with my fry up on the weekends so blood sausage doesn't bother me. I've had tripe before, it wasn't amazing but not disgusting either lol, we used to feed it to the dog quite a lot. One of my favourite things to eat when i go to france is barbecued andouillette, which is a sausage made from pigs intestines and colon. Don't knock it till you've tried it! Its not all cheese, just cheddar and brie. Strange, I know! You wouldn't believe how many people find it so odd with the cheddar thing, it seems inconceivable to some that someone wouldn't like it.
We could never go out to dinner together I love Lutfisk, love any kind of blood sausage and tripe/innards. But if you by smelly fruit mean durian then I'm totally with you on that one!
durian, that's the one. I hear it's horrid. I couldn't do the semi-formed eggs either. I forget the name for that. ah, balutte I think.
I'd Prolly try all that, if I could cover it all in butter n' cheddar cheese. that's all I was sayin'. but to each his own.
Nothing that comes out of the ocean or mushrooms. Can't even stand the smell of seafood. Mushrooms are more of a texture issue, I'll cook with them for the flavor but pick them out before eating. I'll pass on the organs and durian too
