FOUND WTB: Nice vintage Gillette for new shaver...

Hi all,
My daughter wants to buy a DE razor for her firefighter boyfriend for Christmas. Up until now, he has only used carts and an electric. He has a VERY thick beard, but must be clean shaven for work. I am thinking a Gillette Red Tip would be a perfect first razor. I would like it to be in very nice shape.
Anybody out there willing to sacrifice their's for a shave newbie?
