I finished #178 today. I went with the 28mm brown synthetic. I also finished the #182 with the 28mm black & white synthetic.
You are making some real lather monsters there Jim. Are those for Magilla Gorilla Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
I snapped up #178 and #179. These brushes are gorgeous...and his stuff always looks even better in person! Thank you!!!
Jim these brushes just get better and better! Love how the the stain you played with looks like a fire ate it up! Ugh I want them all!! Lol
Cypress is a very nice wood. I grew up in Cypress, TX - named after the original cypress trees that lined the creeks. Logged out by the 20's, and nobody's ever bothered to replant any, sadly. Not sure what kind of finish I'd have used. I just know that I'd want to see every detail of the grain I like the lines of the third from the left.
Thank you @Bookworm. That is the one I picked for my son #181 for his graduation. My is #180 with a knot I sent Jim. Sent from my phone using some app
No worries, Jim. My "crazy Cajun" quarter heritage is muted by a midwest childhood. The German, Welsh, and Dutch sides give me that mixed breed friendliness of a common pound puppy. While I'm not the wall hanging framed paper chaser of my father ( BS Chemical Engineering, MBA, RN - specializing in Psych Ward, Ret. Army Reserves, Medic) I've pursued a more physical education in practical matters - Single family home construction, with hobbies like rebuilding antique vehicles, lots of recreational reading, and an interest in doing voluntary community service. I do enjoy a bit of Verbal Judo and consider Cliff Clavin to be a very wise man.
