So I finally ordered and received a Frank Shaving 38mm knot... Cut the 30mm round casing and sanded the lip. The install went pretty smooth and i shampooed and conditioned the knot. This is pretty ridiculous. There is a comparison to a 24mm synthetic. Pretty sure it will eat a whole tub of soap... true Heavy Artillery! Enjoy your projects. Tom.
So the other half of the knot order was a 24mm Franks Shaving Silvertip. A friend sent me these horn salt and pepper shakers, thinking I could possibly use them for straight razor scales. That is a possibility... but I thought a brush handle might be better. So I flipped it upside down. I set about cutting, shaping and sanding and now that the knot is here, time for assembly. I did want to have some fun with filling in the major hole when I cut it in half... some reddish copper epoxy. And here it is all glued in place. I really like how comfortable it is in hand. Enjoy your projects. Tom
