Well I just picked up a 228H Coleman similar to this one ... An August of 1975. Now I may look in to Coleman single burner stove in the future like this one.
I just picked up a heater. lantern and two camp stoves all made by Coleman off Craig's list. Probably sell the heater to an ice-fisherman , but couldn't complain about the price cause they were all in great shape. The one stove looked fairly new in great shape; the other was from the 1950's and also in great condition. The only down side was the lantern; the globe was MIA, but those are replaceable at a reasonable cost. I'll post some pics when I bring them in from the car.
The smaller stove is a 425 and was made between 1948 - 1953. The larger one is a 413G dating 1965 - 1968 and may be a Frankenstove, due to the code on the fount shows March of 1975. The lantern is marked June of 1974 and needs a globe and mantels. The heater is marked August 1974. All are in need of cleaning. I'm thinking the larger stove is more on the newer of the two dates due to other pieces dates (early mid 70's) I'm mainly interested in the newer stove for use and finding new homes for the rest.
