To the best of my knowledge none but I make some adapter screws that allow all ASR razors that I know of with removable handles to work with the most common female thread used in razor handles. There may be some obscure ASR razors they won't work with but I haven't seen it.

Thanks for the info! I'll definitely keep you in mind as I'm looking to expand my Gem and Ever-Ready lineup!

Picked this little Gem at a flea market for $3 today. Cleaned up nicely!
Anyone know what blade bank should go with it? [IMG][IMG]

It would be the Push-Pak dispenser in it, seen below. I think towards the end of life for this model, it was just a brown cardboard box packet containing 5 blades.

Looks like a nice 1st Generation(1950-52) Featherweight deluxe, one of my favorites to use of a lot of different Gem razors( tame mid range). You got a good deal, use new blades if possible and not hardware store types. They should be 3 facet type and I like the Gem Personna SS PTFE. I live up north in Canada and to get them locally is not going to happen so I bought mine from Connaught shaving UK. Takes 2 - 3 weeks, I know your itching to use it and might be able to buy some on Amazon.

    Enjoy!

Just remembered I actually have one. I will get it in the mail to you this week. Still has 6 original blades in it, so you can have a good shave with an original blade for that Gem Featherweight razor! :D:eatdrink047:

Thanks, I've got a bullet tip and a coyote 1912s I believe, and bought a package of gem blades on Amazon. I didn't take much note of the specs, I was just happy to see the same logo and bought them. Some shaves are better than others with them though.

I have a razor in this box... It isn't a G-Bar... It's an Ever Ready 1912 as you say. @Screwtape generously traded it with me and believed it to be NOS - I'll post a photo later.

Gem was still offering razors in stores as of 1994. They still sent razors to those who sent in $1 after 2000.

Hi, I just wanted to stop in and wave. I think I’m gonna be going back to my single edge roots for a while. I used an OCMM a little over a year when I started wet shaving. I moved on to double edge, but as of this morning, I’m gonna head back in the other direction a little while.

Should share your shave over at Micromatic Monday, any ASR razor that holds a Gem blade is welcome.
