Another small project I’ve been working for a long time. I finally decided to finish my toggle case insert. I haven’t been able to find the innards for this case and I haven’t been able to find a case for my executive. So I decided to combine the 2 razors into this case as well as make room for a blade holder. I want to thank Alan @Morman Bridge for his generosity and supplying the velvet. 1. Make the base out of cardboard and tape it together. 2. Cut the hole for my blade holder 3. Glue down blue velvet down 4. Hope it looks ok! My wife and I trying to figure out how to make something for the lid like the original but that’s for another day!
Great Work Jorge! That looks excellent! I'm glad the velvet helped. By the way Jorge, I want to compliment you on your dress Blues, you look Strike Marine! Very good avitar my friend! Carry on !

Just thought I share a new project I started working on. I have a few ugly cases laying around and some were gutted. The cases were from the NEW line of cases. I decided to sort of revamp them. I had one case that was completely down to the metal. Here are some pics of the before: Here is a pic broken down and taken apart. Clean them in the ultrasonic cleaner to get the majority of the rust off and used some sandpaper to clean it up some more Now I’m not the best and doing stuff like this and frankly it’s a little sloppy. But it’s waaaay better than it was Here is the case mid way. I still need to create the inserts.
It looks great! I looks like if you put real thin cardboard (like spiral notebook cover) over the top and bottom, the hole wouldn't telegraph through. Only trying to help for future restores.
I tried that initially, but unless the cut out is exactly cut out you will see the outline of it as well and if I cut it by hand you would see any defects. I thought this might look better than a crooked cut line
