You can always use a polish like Flitz to make a plastic case better like I did here........ https://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/easy-plastic-case-restore.54360/
I couldn't find Flitz so I ended up getting the 3 stage Novus set. As grubby as it was, I only had to use 2 and 1 and it looks practically new! My fingers were a little cramped afterward though.
I was recently given an extra key to carry around at work, identical to my room key, so I asked female co-workers if anybody had red fingernail polish I could borrow (wife doesn't wear red). One handed me a tiny bottle of OPI brand nail lacquer. It's thin but well pigmented, so it flowed on nicely. Here's a bad pic of a rough base coat with no primer, just original paint residue. Blood red so not an exact match to the maroonish original, but I like it. Two coats will cover the bare nickel chips. She said I could keep the bottle because she has hers done professionally now, and that it is a mid-grade polish as far as quality goes. It does act like a really good paint and dries quickly. So better quality polishes are another reasonable alternative to a big can of tractor paint if you don't have to have the exact shade. (this shade is Big Apple Red but there's one called Miami Beet that looks closer)
Yes indeed. Not saying anyone else isn't, I never worked with anybody else, but Chris is a man of high integrity and honesty.
