I have not been collecting long & only tried a few razors, Wilkinson razor from my 7 day set, Rolls Razor & my 1920 Gillette single ring. I have a 1949 Gillette Super Speed not yet used & a 1938 Gillette Aristocrat that has never been used, it still has its rhodium plated tag on the handle.
Does not look like yours has been used either I am amazed that so many razors have survived in mint or near mint condition. Do you think it's that people used to look after things better in them days?
yes,only the rich owned these razor sets back when new.this razors price would be near a weeks wages for a moderately paid worker 1n 1939.many were christmas gifts and stashed away as well..some then sat in someones collection for decades after the fact..there are not many of us that have these razors..
