1930 new lc federal this was a near NOS set i acquired with a completely split ball end handle. i added a ball end tech handle and gave it a 1920 pocket edition case.sorry purists.. this base plate has the small aperture and no pat numbers. a fine shaver in it's current form. in it's original form.
i thought about it and had a handle, but downsized and passed it along.my friend happily displays it at present with a more worn plate and cap.man cave stuff.i can get it back if needed.in my current "not working" position i have to stash stuff so i don't sell it off and forever lose it.mismatches aren't worth much..
1928 New Improved De Luxe arrived yesterday along with matching blade bank. Has a small stable crack but beggars can’t be choosers
1951 Executive, obtained in what'll probably be the largest acquisition of my lifetime...55 razors in one shot. I'm keeping about 30 of them ... I'll show them off as I use them, though a few have had a sneak peak already. As for the after midnight shower and shave, it was divine. I'd put this up there with a Fatboy on 7, though I'm curious if others find these Executives mild or aggressive. Sent from my SM-G977U using Tapatalk
that is a cool executive set.i have a 1950 example but with a custom made case.i would say 6-7 on the fatboy/slim range, similar to its brit 2nd gen aristocrat cousin, though the executive is lighter head wise making it more balanced.
well it's box shaped again, still more work needed.the finish is probably toast.may get a brushed one.. we'll see..
good day gents.post office pick up today from jolly old england. the short handle set arrived, minus the strop. beautiful condition.had an oiled valet blade in it these razors were quite common in england before the war. happy to be the proud owner of a near pristine almost complete set. now to find an unused brit strop.. with the others, uncased brit vc 3 and canadian reg handle vc3 set in gold. the brit sets weren't stamped with gillette like the canadian /u.s ones but..
