2 days growth and a first run on my new No. 58. I love this razor and while pristine, it may go into regular rotation. I've gone for the 3rd pass atg maybe a dozen times in my life, and while some were better than others I've always regretted it. First stroke was like a new windshield wiper as was the rest of the first pass. It lefte really nothing for the second pass, which seemed fruitless. So, you probably guessed it, I went for the 3rd atg pass. A true bbs shave on my cheeks and jaw line, no irritation, weepers, nicks or anything. At the end of the day, it still feels great with no discomfort whatsoever! Night and day compared to the No. 59. Sent from my SM-G977U using Tapatalk
most definitely.i was quoting info posted on this forum and others in regarding the actual gap measurements .the exposures could be different though which is far more inportant.either way i don't have a fatboy so couldn't comment by experience.
yes it's a #59 set .the razor type is a rocket HD.was available in a blue plastic case and some others, but the razors are the same.
Cool, thanks for the info. For some reason I thought the hd500 and no. 59 were stamped patent pending or with patent numbers. Any way to date mine? Sent from my SM-G977U using Tapatalk
i believe the pat pending razors were from 1953-5.pat # stamped versions were 1955 up.just like the #58 sets.

Well this is my travel setup from this morning and the next two days. I'm doing a three day intensive for one of my MBA program classes, and took a hotel nearby. I'd never check this in luggage... and yeah, I did put the pocket edition in my briefcase before I took off this morning lol. As for the AOS travel brush, it is the most awful brush in the world, so it just stays in my dop kit, checked bag or not. It shedded like CRAZY new, to the point I thought it'd be gone after a few shaves. Rather disgusting experience when your soapy face is covered in lost badger hair. Anyway hundreds of uses later it still sheds a few hairs every time I use it. I'm amazed there are any left, but it works. In AOS's defense when I called they gave me a full credit and said keep it. So that's nice I suppose...because I want to like it and free is imo the only way one could! Sent from my SM-G977U using Tapatalk
