Ok, I'm a self proclaimed abc pocket edition buff, but somebody please explain what happened here?! 89 bids, $450 for a flower set, missing the blade bank, with NO lid liner. They didn't even include a pic with the serial number...maybe if it was the first one ever made, but again, with no serial number listed? I'm COMPLETELY BAFFLED, what am I missing? DE SOTD, Sat March 26th 2022 Razor: Gillette Fatboy E4(AKA$1.95 or 195), Mfg 1959, well made and built to last, my favorite Gillette razor, set at 7 it performs very well, comfortable close shave. That is what folks wanted and received back in 1959 IMO. Blade: Gillette 7oClock SP (5) excellent, sharp & smoooth + reasonable longevity. Top tier for myself. Soap: Yaqi Musketeer rapier, very nice mid range scent + great lather qualities. Brush: Yaqi 24mm 2band badger barber pole, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, great scrubber + great painter. Pre shave : Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + dollop of Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area. Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. Post shave: Yaqi Musketeer rapier AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless) Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers=excellent shave with my 1959 Gillette Fatboy & Gillette 7oClock. Have some great shaves!
