I just picked up another 109, I don't know If I'm keeping mine or this new one. I never really shared, but wonder if many people do the same...When I see a cheap razor with potential I always buy it. I restore it best I can, keep it if I don't have one, or compare it to the one I own. I keep the nicer of the two, and I'll usually clear more than I have into it after ebay takes their cut...if I don't pif it to friends or family. I'm at the point where all of my examples are darn new or newish enough for me. 90% of my collection is Gillette, only a few holy grail items left to go...any decade now I'll have my three unicorns lol!
i do the same,though i pass them on to friends,i usually ask what i paid ,so i break even, the bonus being i got to shave with the razors before i pass them.most of my collection is in the very good to near mint category.rarer sets that i acquire are bought with proceeds from my former collections of other stuff.unless a "must have/don't have one" deal comes along..
