Going to open up a can of worms

I remember so many times getting Dolphin Smooth shaves with my Dovo Bismarck 5/8 when I would shave with it. The problem is that my beard grows so fast that I'd still get my 5 o'clock shadow at 2:30! lollll

 

I wonder if anyone has used a 1911 razor to shave with Bill(WM.)Neumann 1911 Shave soap????

 

How can one BBS shave last longer than another BBS shave other than one guy's stubble growing faster than the other guys. BBS for me with a DE means I don't need a shave for two days. I don't try for BBS, but if it presents itself that's great.

yup, especially if I go against the grain. I usually do wtg, and then xtg, with some touch ups. It ends up looking clean, and smooth, and it feels almost bbs.

The only safety i have that honestly compares to SR is my OneBlade SE Genesis Razor. Its honestly a phenomenal shaver. That being said in my very limited experience only SR shaving a few weeks now, my straight razors are closer less forgiving shaves.

In French we call a guy with my kind of beard, my father-in-law, or my brother-in-law "Un homme avec une barbe verte". (A man with a green beard) The three of us are swarthy, our beards are very dark-colored, heavy, and they grow very fast. It seems to be very common in guys who are from around the Mediterranean.

 

Barbasol, in anglais,-"Beard Solution".

 

I don't know where or even who I get that tendency from. My Dad doesn't have such a heavy beard, he's not olive-skinned, and he was never really hairy. Neither of my grandfathers were either. Strange, no?
